FAQs

Do you make custom pieces?

Absolutely! We would love to craft a beautiful commission piece for you. Please get in touch via the contact page or social media with a bit of an idea of what you’re after and your budget and we will commission something special. For commissions we require a 50% deposit before beginning to craft your taonga and the remaining 50% before shipping.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently our website does not offer international shipping. However if you are looking to purchase a particular piece from the website please get in touch via socials or email and we can arrange payment and shipping through an individual invoice.

When will my taonga arrive?

Your taonga will be packaged with care and shipped the next business day after payment is received. We use NZ Post Economy, for non-rural deliveries this is estimated to arrive within 2-3 working days, for rural 3-5 business days. You will be sent a tracking number via email when your taonga has been shipped!

Can you restring my taonga?

Absolutely, we offer a re-lashing service and have a variety of colours of hand plaited cord for your taonga. The cost of re-lashing depends on the type wanted but starts at $40 running to $60 (plus shipping if relevant). Please message us through the contact page on this website or dm us on our socials to enquire!

Do you bless the taonga?

Blessing your taonga is often a very personal choice and a preference is for pounamu to be blessed by someone with a connection to the wearer. All of our taonga are however bathed in water from Te Puna o Riwaka, we regularly travel to collect some of the purest water on the planet from this ancient source so your taonga leaves our studio pure and ready for its wearer.

However if you would like your taonga to be given a traditional blessing by Joe before it leaves the studio please dm us once you’ve ordered and we will ensure this happens for you.
